About
Hey…how are ya? Welcome!
I am an educator and technical writer. Growing up in a large family, considering teaching as a career came naturally. An education degree led into elementary teaching, which turned into corporate training and development and subsequently technical writing. I am a great advocate of knowledge sharing and giving people the tools they need to succeed.
In 2002, I moved to Southern Ontario from rural Northern Ontario, and quickly fell in love with city living: the activity, sights, people, and diversity of culture and food. I temper this love by returning to my rural roots several times a year to immerse myself in green spaces. My partner and I purchased our first home in 2007, in the city, but the jury remains hung as to whether our future is in asphalt or arbor.
I am an introverted extrovert. I am an idealistic realist. I am a baking, gardening, knitting, crafting Gemini who loves a cocktail party, pints at the pub, and girls’ night in. I love my jammies and my peep-toe heels (not at the same time). I am a compulsive napper and a workaholic. I LOVE books.
This ‘About’ page may be the hardest thing I have ever written. Truly defining myself, finding my ‘brand’, does not come easily for me, nor does it for anyone, I suspect. So that is the intent of this website: start figuring it out, take some risks, learn and pay attention to the process, share so others may benefit, and have some laughs.
Thank you for stopping by.
