Makes me laugh…

My favorite thing to say these days is: “monkey humper”. How can you not appreciate the simple fifth grade eloquency of these words? AND it fits in wherever and whenever one is looking for a just a little more description and colour in the vocabulary.

In the house these days, everywhere I look, there are bits of things: gifts, wrapping paper, half eaten cookies, random socks, yarn…in every crevice and covering every surface. Which, under most circumstances, drives me round-the-bend crazy.

Fear

Breath caught at the base of throat
scared to breathe, to hope.
To hope perchance to fail?

Not stomach churning, bowel-emptying, paralyzing fear…it’s worse?
If my bowels were emptied suddenly or my stomach churned, I would know what to do (flush those undies and grab some Pepto).
Flicker of hope, only to be doused by a buckets of
avoidance, procrastination, rationalization, [...]
