Frequently Asked
Confidentiality:
We take client confidentiality very seriously: all coaching sessions are held in the strictest confidence. Client identity is also confidential unless permission is expressly granted in writing.
Coaching versus Therapy:
While coaching and therapy both deal in emotions and have similar skill sets, there are some significant differences between the practices. The most crucial is that, while therapy focuses on healing unresolved psychological issues of the past, coaching works in the present to assist clients in setting goals that they want to achieve in the future. In coaching, we acknowledge the past, but the focus is on forward movement. Should you feel like you have work to do around past issues, or if you suspect you have a mental illness, therapy may be a better fit.
In Person Coaching versus Coaching Call?
Dependent on the client requirement, we can establish whether an in-person session or call would be more beneficial to the client’s specific needs. There are great benefits to either method, which are discussed during client intake.
